- Carpet Area of a Property:
In general terms carpet area of a property is defined as the area enclosed within the walls, where you can actually lay the carpet. It is the actual used area of a property.
2. Built-Up Area of a Property:
Built up Area is the carpet area plus the thickness of walls. It is usually taken approximately as 10% more than the carpet area.
For Eg: If a carpet area of property is say 100 sq.feet, than its BuiltUp area is taken as 1.1*100=110 sq.feet.
3. Super BuiltUp Area of a Property:
Super Built Up Area is the built up area plus proportionate share of common areas such as the lobby, lifts shaft, stairs, etc.
While Calculating Super BuiltUp area no proportionate share of common open spaces should be included in calculations.
4.Plinth Area/Covered Area:
Plinth Area is calculated as Built-Up area minus the Cantilever Portions of the property.
